TWO coaches with undefeated seasons, BCS bowls, top 5 teams. Its just
a matter of time before they do it again
I do think Erickson will improve the offense, but I don't think he's
the coach he was 10 - 20 years ago. I also applaud Johnson who recognizes he is
co-coordinator in name only. Erickson is the real OC. This could have turned
into a power struggle and been ugly, but Johnson was very professional.I love the names of the RBs - Lucky and Bubba. It doesn't get better
than that. I'm looking forward to KVN meeting them.
I hope this works out. Love the addition of Erickson to the staff as a mentor
to BJ. I'm sure we will see a couple of situations where there is
confusion on the play calling but once that gets smoothed over, the offense
should be much better this year.Don't be surprised if one of
the new kids ends up as the backup QB, especially if there is an opportunity to
have a dual threat QB as Wilson's backup.
DE will be fine as long as the ice holds up.
2013 Ute Seniors SWEEP byU 4-0"TWO coaches with undefeated seasons,
BCS bowls, top 5 teams. Its just a matter of time before they do it
again"It's extremely unlikely that you'll see it again
any time soon Chris. Maybe you ought to start with baby steps. Wish for a
victory against a pac team with a winning record first, then sprinkle pixie dust
on your hopes to return to a bowl game, any bowl game, etc.Be sure
and let us all know when you're undefeated and top 5 again, OK Chris?
Hmmm. I'm thinking more and more that D Erikson was a good hire. BJ still
seems kind of lost -- in a bit over his head....
I am Still wondering why they have to have 2 Offensive Coordinators and it looks
like Brian is wondering the same thing.
Glad to have Dennis Erickson's experience and expertise at the U.
Given Ericksen's rather pithy work at ASU, it's easy to conclude that
the tanks empty. He was truly a waste for the Devil's, setting the program
way behind the rest of the PAC. It doesn't take a genius to see that the
Chow's and Ericksen's are merely around to hold Johnson's hand
hoping through osmosis he'll grow into the job. As with BYU promoting
Brandon Doman too early Whitt has the same mess on his hands with Johnson, but
he's chosen a different solution. If anyone overestimate's
Dennis's value consider where ASU AD Lisa Love found him: at Idaho, he had
fallen that far from his Miami days. Now after blowing that opportunity to
become relevant again HE'S BACK.
