Article quote: “He (Banks) said, ‘Life isn’t fair in all areas. This is devastating but I’m putting it behind me and I’m going to make something out of my life. I’m not going to let it stand in my way,’” Fassel said."

Wow.

Just. Wow.

With an attitude like that, Mr. Banks, you C-A-N-N-O-T be beat.

God bless you, Sir. I'll be praying for your victories in life because, A) you deserve them and B) you're working for them.

I hope you are successful in your endeavors, whatever they are, and that you write a story about your experiences and make MILLIONS. Use your talent and energy to lift up others and you'll have lived a life worthwhile.

Good luck and God speed!

A great story! I wish there were more of this type of sports stories.

Unfortunately, as uplifting and important as is this story, I am only the third, it would now appear, that has seen fit to comment. That, even though today is October 8, 2013 and this story was first published on August 13, 2013!

I believe this fact precisely explains why most "newspaper stories" are no longer a journalist reporting the news but, rather, stating opinions in the most sensationalistic manner he or she can in order to garner column inches and get read.

Agreed. It is a crying shame this story does not have HUNDREDS of comments. I wonder if he made it in the NFL. Even if he didn't, he's got GUTS to even try.

I salute you, Mr. Banks!
