I do hope Ziggy has some very great people around him, and one day soon, an even greater wife.

Go get 'em, Ziggy!

Stay true to the Lord and no matter what happens in the NFL, you'll be a success!

I read an article when Ziggy was drafted that Coach Mendenhall assigned a friend of his at BYU (a professor in the Law School, I think) to help Ziggy get settled in a ward in Detroit and find a place in a good neighborhood with a support system around him to avoid the pitfalls listed in this article. I wish someone would do a followup on that article and see how Ziggy is doing on the home front. It would be good read!

Gooooo Ziggy! We are so proud of you! Please keep being yourself, and working hard. Since you were drafted by Detroit, our family has immediately turned into Lion fans. We can't wait to watch for great things to come. Loved the pick six.....WOW!

"That's the understatement of the century."

Did the reporter not perceive, at any point, the ironic overstatement of that assertion?

I believe that Ziggy Anasah will not "remain the same". If by that you mean "maintain the qualities that are making him an appealing news story". I believe part of Ziggy's charm is caused by his naivete. The boyish "I can't believe this is happening to me" attitude will vanish like the frost before the morning sun.

Ziggy's naivete will evaporate before the instense glare of media spot lights. My hope is that Ziggy's personality will not be seriously burned by it nor overcome by heat stroke as that light heats up the fan interest environment surrounding him.

My hope for Ziggy is that the Detroit Lions top management and media relations staff will counsel and assist him to limit his exposure to the intense Media glare, gradually increasing the doses of exposure. That, in addition, to the sun screen from the families and friends Bronco Mendenhall wisely helped him find, will allow his personality to gradually change to a even more beautiful Ziggy.
