I am glad she made it out of that cesspool. She is worth far more as a daughter of God than the porn industry will admit or portray. She just needed to have someone explain it to her in a way she could accept. I hope she is happy and has a good life....away from that poison.

There is nothing wrong with pornography in moderation. To many people in the world, showing your ankles and wrists is borderline pornography.

So even the definition itself can be greatly debated

The Deseret News has been running multiple articles trying to persuade readers that porn is inherently evil, and it ruins families, etc.

I have never been convinced by these arguments, filled as they are with narrow religious moralizing and appeals to the fictions in which believers trust.

But, as Jada Pinkett Smith's 2012 documentary persuasively argues, porn is the dress rehearsal for prostitution, and prostitution is not (as they say) "the oldest profession in history", it is "the oldest OPPRESSION of women in history"!

Believers do their cause an injustice by ignoring or lightly treating the connection between pornography and prostitution and human trafficking. Focus on this srtong link. An argument is only as strong as its weakest link.

Congrats to this woman on being able to change her direction, and be better for it. I'm sure she doesn't feel the weight of the sleazy men watching her in a bad situation. Now, they are probably wondering how they got themselves into such a mess.

It takes one to start changing a point of view. Good for her.

@ Chris. Do you have a daughter? See, porn is not harmless is it?

Mountanman,

Has your wife or daughter ever shown her ankles or arms to the world?

See, she has shown enough skin that borders porn to much of the world.

@Chris, your original comment regarding definition is a non-sequitr. We are talking about pornography as it relates to the experience of Ms Ruiz (aka Jenna Presley). She was a HARDCORE performer. She was doing a lot more on camera than just showing ankles. A lot of it was frankly degrading and the misogyny of porn companies around the world needs to be addressed regardless of consumer consumption levels. The sex acts in hardcore often appeal to the male fantasy but that does not mean it should be degrading to the perform. Plus, in Europe and America the performers are not unionized so scene rates are low amid STD risks and limited availability of work.
