It is really frustrating to find that someone has gone into FamilySearch and entered information or made changes in family lines without documenting their sources or reasons for the changes.

I so agree with you. Someone has been going in and changing info that I know is accurate such as for my parents, grandparents, cousins, etc. These are people who I knew personally and in most cases have a copy of either their obit, death or marriage certificate. One person who submitted the work for my parents claimed to be a close friend - not so as if they had been close they would have known that they had kids. Another person has done estimates of when family members were born and died for example 1910 to 1950. They went back several generations of doing this. I have been correcting the info with the help of various family members who are genealogists who have sent me "proof" of their info

Sadly I have learned that Some are either too busy doing the work to do research or they just arent doing the research the later being my opinion by experience
