I'm glad there are so many people willing to take a stand for doing the
right thing!That makes me happy!
Nothing about reality tv is real.
This is the only reality TV we occasionally watch. Maybe some of their incidents
are set up, but these people are so very real. Wonderful examples!
It is ironic that this story never mentions the Church to which the Robertson
family belongs; yet, in every article where a Mormon does something noteworthy,
the fact that they are members of the LDS Church is highlighted, almost ad
nauseum! Why is that? Does the LDS Church-owned Deseret News have a
policy to avoid evangelizing for other Churches? Will you post the
information?Alan Robertson is an Elder in the White's Ferry
Road Church of Christ. Why would this article (deliberately?) leave
out such an important piece of information?

Thanks for the article. Whatever is good should be sought after.
Big Red,Still doesn't explain why the Church, for which Alan
and Phil are Elders, was omitted from the story in the first place.
DN has started promoting many non-LDS individuals. Just another move toward
this made me happy happy happy. the robertson family is a loving family ! yes
to support and love one another . do not need money and fame for happiness to be
true. thank you jase and missy for the good words
I was delighted with this article. Regardless of religious affiliation,
following God's laws will always bring great blessings. Adults and children
both need role models to follow and part of the popularity of this show has to
be because of the "feel good" spirit it brings to families. Thanks.
a scientist; I watched the clip, and the article seems to be very close to a
transcription of the film clip. in that clip, they didn't mention their
religious affilation, maybe that was the reason it wasn't mentioned in the
article. If so, then nothing sinister about that, wouldn't you think?
Shimlau,If you are right, then it is just lazy, plagiarizing
"journalism"...Still seems something "sinister"
there - especially since it took me all of 3 seconds to find the name of the
Church in which these men are Elders. Why so many people trying to
justify this "error"? Wouldn't you all be offended greatly if an
article came out about one of the LDS Church's "Elders" (Apostles),
yet failed to mention the name of the Church? What gives? Some deep
need to try to give the illusion that anything and everything about Mormonism is
perfect, superior, and flawless?
