Now the just need a football team to go with it.
Down under,I know, right. That joke of a football team on the hill
can't beat anybody.... except that blue team.
U 90"That joke of a football team on the hill can't beat
anybody..."including the blue team, this year.
A Hall of Fame? The echoes must go one forever in that empty hall. Maybe
it's just wide-eyed optimism or wishful thinking. Nothing wrong with that I
I love how any good news from the hill brings out our cougar friends. Thanks for
your obsession guys.
Why the snark, Brad? It's a nice center. No need to whip out the sarcasm
and compare the Utes' facility to an NFL team's. Love, Brad. Not hate.
With this new facility the University of Utah will recruit better athletes and
eventually win both the conference title and the national championship. Mark my
words. It could even happen this year!Go Utes!!!
@ down underI believe their football team has beaten your team 3
years in a row. In fact, they've owned your team 4 of 5 years, 8 out of
11, and overall own a 56-34-4 advantage.If that doesn't qualify
as a team, then what does that make your "team" from Provo?
Great new facility! It's amazing how the landscape of the U has changed
over the past ten to fifteen years. On another note, has anyone
heard about the state regents discussing the merits of brining a football
program to UVU? I think that it needs to be examined. The instate talent level
for HS football increases each year. It would be nice to have more
opportunities for our young people. It's a shame that BYU may try to stop
it from happening. Word is, they may want a football team too!
@ BlameItOnTheOfficialsPer the DesNews, the U is favored to win only
two of its nine conference games this year.It is going to take a lot
more than a new building.
Sorry utes, but BSU's new football facility is better.
It is a nice building, very nice. But it takes a lot more than a building.
Despite my ribbing about the hall of fame, this is a beautiful facility. My
buddy who works at the U sent me pics and video, and it's very impressive.
He's promised to give me a tour soon, so I'll let y'all know how
it looks first hand. Congrats Utes, now hopefully this brings in more recruiting
and U can take home some PAC hardware.
@Duckhunter"But it takes a lot more than a building."*********As BYU knows... 3-7 against Utah since opening the SAB
and the IPF... not to mention being passed over by every major conference in the

serious. My bad.
Got to take a look at it recently. Having seen the old Dee Glen Smith building
extensively, what is in there right now blows the old one away, and it's
not even finished yet. And yes, Brad, there is indeed a "barbershop" in
I am guessing that they did not include space for a trophy case since there is
nothing to put in it.
Blame it,Yes, absolutely the Utes WILL win the national championship this
year. I think we should just give it to them now and not play any games. That
is the only way they would have a prayer. Let's see what Phil Stelle has
to say about the Utsies. Not much good this year. Maybe 3-4 wins tops.
Dudes: can't you show a little respect? I love the rivalry and the banter,
but on a day like today, it is just not very tasteful. Please put the petty
bickering back and forth to the side, at least for a day, and show some
respect.Lives were taken today, that is reality. Football is just a
game. We can get back to the Holy War tomorrow.
@EdGradyUtah's facility is 120K sq. ft.BSU's
facility is 70K sq. ft.I'm confident that Utah's facility
is far superior.
VegasUte:Well said. I completely agree...all fans regardless of allegiance
should take a rest from the banter and show respect for the loss of a great
young man today.
The UU athletic department is still taking millions of dollars in subsidies. It
is morally wrong to take money from state taxpayers to fund a BCS program.
Instead, half the TV money the UU gets should go to the general education fund.
What is more important - a good education system or gold-plated toilet seats?
