Wow. I was surprised to see Alta ranked so high! But hey, the coaches have spoken, now it's up to them to live up to expectations... Tough to do, considering their non-region games include East, Lone Peak, Timpview and another New Jersey team! And with Brighton, Jordan AND Bingham all being in Alta's region now, this is undoubtedly the toughest schedule in the state! Go Hawks!!!

Yeah that is a really brutal schedule Alta could possibly finish below .500 and thats no fault of them

You're absolutely right, they could. They are coming into the season after loosing about 40 kids to Corner Canyon. That's a tough loss, no matter how you look at it! And they lost Harrison Handley WR, Ammon Barker WR (2012 Team MVP, 1st Team All-State and my little (big) brother) and Max Broman to graduation.

Still, they have a LOT of good players returning on both sides of the ball, including a talented QB and other skills players. Plus, they are in the habit of winning. It's expected by others, and they expect it of themselves. They have good coaching. All these things translate to W's! They'll go into the vast majority of these games as the favorite, and when they're not favored to win it will be toss-up games or a slight disadvantage.

There are some great teams this year, at all levels! Can't wait!
