Glad that this game is back on the board - no more need to read mindless posts. Now the scoreboard can do the talking - Numbers don't lie! Go Utes!

I suppose Dr. Hill needed a nice distraction from other recent Utah athletic news!

This news isn't deserving of too much hype. We shouldn't ever allow Dr. Hill to bring us to a point where we're grateful that he is 'willing' to schedule in-state football games with our rivals. It 99% of BYU and Utah fans want it, of course Dr. Hill should do it. It's the right thing to do and he shouldn't be getting a pat on the back for it.

Thank-you, Dr. Holmoe, for having the patience to wait for Dr. Hill to come around and 'finally' decide that he ought to do what he should have done a LONG LONG time ago. Isn't ironic that Dr. Hill holds the press conference and takes the credit.

A fantastic game and rivalry lives on. Go Utes!

fairly significant announcement for the University and it comes by.....youtube?
hope it is a sign that the series will continue and that the game will be played at the end of the year in perpetuity.

Hill should demand a 2 for 1. They'd take it too.

This has become our yearly "gimme" game.

all schools have at least 1 or 2 "gimme" games

And this is ours.

Good news.

This has become our yearly "gimme" game.

That's right, the Cougs are going to give you and your PAC-thetic Utes a loss which will add to another ignominious losing season for our little bros up on the hill.

This doesn't make a whole lot of sense for BYU in their efforts to enhance and strengthen their November schedule. Scheduling the 11th place team from the pac 12 just doesn't seem like it accomplishes that goal.

Gotta love u fans that not only speak for BYU football, but now speak for their AD, as well.

Obviously utah couldn't get a 2 for 1. End of discussion, unless its the u fan's/ BYU hater ego they are trying to bolster, then they will continue to argue even though their AD couldn't get it done.

Funny that u fans think that since they have beaten BYU recently, that BYU won't start a winning streak of their own. OK so since u believe that is true...

ASU will always own u
USC will always own u
UCLA will always own u
UofA will always own u
UW will always own u.

oh and USU will always own u.

See how stupid it is to claim victory in a game that changes every year?

It is also hilarious that u fans think that since they have "arrived" that they now garner respect without results.

Do teams in the PAC respect u, not in the slightest. Do the national media pay homage to u, nope. Do he odd makers in Vegas? loosing bet.

2 for 1, hardly.

Gimmie? Lame comment. KVN is coming.

Happy to see the series continue. Go Cougs!

I wish this rivalry would go away.

I wish it would die a sudden and complete death never to be heard from again.

I would much rather play a series with USU, their fans can talk trash and still be objective, fun, spirited and classy.

Something u fans/BYU haters fail at miserably.

I've said it before...

utah bragging about being in the PAC 12 is like a candy bar that is made out of raw cabbage being proud of the wrapper.

I guess all that Y'ning from Tom Holmoe has paid off! I'm sure Chris Hill had to throw him a bone to help with their scheduling.

You sure talk a lot for someone who cheers for a 5-7 team. Only a Ute fan could be so loud when the team is so bad.

"Scheduling the 11th place team from the pac 12 just doesn't seem like it accomplishes that goal."

They were 9th out of 12 last year and that was their less productive year of the two. Maybe you should focus more on learning to count.

Even without the gimmie game the next two years, the U will still win 5 games.

Chris B. Tom Holmoe "There are probably a half a dozen teams we will accept 2 for 1". Trust me Chris B., the Utes aren't one of them.

Salt Lake City, UT

So much for the notion that Utah's Pac-12 affiliation should be able to command a 2 for 1 deal to continue the series with BYU...haha!

Why? Why would Utah who went undefeated in '04 and '08 and invitees of a prestigious BCS conference and are on the brink of playing in the PAC-12 championship game every year choose to play an Indy-WACky team? It doesn't make sense.
