This is great! It is a great day to be a Ute! This will only booster our recruiting. The PAC12 has been a blast. And it's only going to get better!

Agreed, ZelphExists, our journey in the elite Pac-12 is only beginning. Based on the videos I've seen of this facility, it is very impressive. I did not realize that an entire football complex was being built with another practice field to be added. I've already said it but the bottom line is that this is very impressive. The Utes still have to earn it on the field but they are well on their to taking their rightful place in the power conferences.

It's a great time to be Ute!!

Since joining the PAC12, I marvel at the beauty of the campus and all the new facilities. Connected to downtown, a metropolitan airport and the greater Salt Lake area via light rail, The University of Utah is truly one of the most beautiful and unique campuses in the country and the crown jewel of our great city. A special thanks to Dr. Hill and the rest of the University administration for their vision and leadership where my daughter is a junior and my son will be enrolling as a freshman this fall.

This is a great step forward for the program. Not just football, but for baseball, tennis, and skiing as well.

Build whatever you want. They still need to win. I'm actually hoping for a stadium expansion and upgrade but I guess that will take some time.

Does all of this money coming in mean my taxes can go down?

Congrats to the Utes on their new facilities! That kind of improvement is not only a huge plus for their program but also for the community as a whole. The benefits of being in the Pac 12 is obviously paying dividends in a big way and this cougar fan is elated for you. Utah is a great university and deserves nothing but the best for all the kids that go there.

As for the football team, well let's hope Kyle and his boys will have a hiccup only against my cougars and then start tearing it up this year. Bring the Rose Bowl trophy home soon! That will be so sweet!!!

Good luck to the Utes! And go Cougars!

I love my prestigious PAC 12 bcs membership!

Long live the power conferences!

MT Seats, I couldn't agree more. The view of the football stadium overlooking downtown SLC driving East on 4th South is stunning. Dr. Hill is to be commended for the growth and health of the athletics program and for ushering in the Pac-12 era.

I was on campus recently and couldn't help note the new and expanded research buildings. Additions to the Medical School, Molecular Biotechnology, the new College of Pharmacy, Research Park, etc, etc. It's a demonstration of remarkable growth, achievement, and contribution to the world. Clearly, the academic and research aspects of the University caught the attention of the Presidents and Chancellors of the Pac-10. The strategy to create a world class research institution with a robust portfolio of recognized academics is the result of an unwavering commitment spanning decades.

Go Utah and the Pac-12!

I'm a die-hard BYU fan, but offer a big thumbs up to the team up north. This is a great facility. Congrats Utes!

It's a gradual, methodical process, but we're making progress....This is an enormous step in the right direction for us! Outstanding new facility for us! Can't wait to get up there this Fall and see it in person! Go UTES!!!!

CO Ute

Wonderful facility and should help with enticing recruits to attend the U. Kudos to the Y fans posting congratulations and to the U fans for not making claims of superiority. Even better, we shouldn't see the posts about an athletic 'trailer park' going forward.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this project.

I have never been more proud to be a University of Utah Ute.

The premier program in the state and a top 25 program nationally.

Finally! Now we can move forward, win the PAC12 with a flawless season and go on to win the NC. It's a great day to be a Ute!

This will certainly help Utah compete more fully with the rest of the pac12. I have also seen some footage and plans of the facility from a friend that works at the U. Very impressive, beautiful facility. Utah is starting to look like a big time program now. Now it needs to translate to the field...bring some hardware home for the state, but U don't have to bring your best stuff on Sept 21st! Good luck Utes.

No pics of the new place?

All that has been said about the university, location, building program, and this complex are 100% correct. Many big name universities and colleges would give much to have a complex like this.
Was back for the October Conference of 2013. It had been since October 1988 that I was last their. WOW! What growth has happened to the Utah Valley. Driving on the 15 south was crazy good. Be glad when all the construction is finished.
Stayed with in-laws, who lived up on the top of Draper Mt. The view was breathtaking at night. During the day it was not. Smog was bad that weekend. Driving from Provo to SLC was like the drive in the bay area. Couldn't tell when you left one city and entered another. Utah is a great place to visit. I'll stick with Northern California, because I can grow all kinds of wonderful food to eat and few people to get in the way. Just a short drive in any direction and have the same good stuff.
U.of U., football has stepped into the spotlight and I look forward to seeing some great games, in the upcoming season and years to come.

Great announcement. How about some pictures?

The biggest positive with the invite to the PAC was the new emphasis in building up the facilities at the U. We probably aren't too far off hearing an announcement on stadium expansion. Keep up the good work making SLC a better community.

Love to see some pictures.

Guardsman Way has changed since I use to go down there in High School. Good for the Utes and Congrats. Now let's get some more wins and make it happen. This too coming from a Y fan who likes to see the state teams do well.

As someone always boasts, not sure the U is thee "Premier" program but it is a great one. Others are great too. Wish someone could see more than mono-vision. Might actually learn something.
