We want Ante Tomic...glad Rudy Gobert is on our team, but Tomic must be better than Gobert, right? What's the holdup?

As the previous comment asked, where is not only Carmen San Diego but Ante Tomic? "Christmas" is on the summer roster so all is not lost. There is also a 6'11" free agent from what appears to be Serbia going to compete.

It could be the Tomic just doesn't want to play in the NBA, or doesn't want to play in Utah. I'm sure the Jazz would love to have him, so it would seem he is the roadblock here.

And the elephant in the room: When are Greg Miller and Co. going to get over their petty grudge against the Las Vegas summer league?

Are you really continuing to punish your fans by holding games almost 2000 miles away when there's a perfectly good set-up less than 400 miles away from your entire fan base?

With all the changes surrounding the Jazz Organization the past few months, this would be the perfect time to announce this change to the usual summer plans and get people excited about cruising I-15 to watch exciting young players EVERYONE is gushing over.

Make it happen, Dennis O'Lindsey.

I don't understand the fascination with Tomic -- he's not coming, and he hasn't shown as much upside as the Jazz originally thought -- move on

TiCon2 -- Maybe it would be good for the folks in Cedar City - but I don't see many Jazz fans begging to go experience 115 degrees in Vegas to see a few rookie league games. Only way fans flock to these things is if they are in town. You can watch the Orlando games from the comfort of your own couch on NBAtv. Much better than a trip to the desert.

Tyreke evans and eric bledsoe were dealt for little in return. We should have made a deal for one of those two.

@Gamer

Bledsoe...probably yes...Tyreke...No...Tyreke needs the ball in his hands to be effective...when they tried to move him to the 3...his stats took a dip and his over all play took a dive...its either the 1 or 2 for him...and he needs the ball 90% of the time to be effective...you dont get to see guys who can play off the ball anymore...Durant is can playoff the ball...but most of the guys...they need the ball in their hands...you kinda miss guys like Chris Mullin...knows where to go on offense for an easy look...playing off the ball...and ray allen...running through screens...catch and shoot...

Looking at the list of names,

it looks like the Jazz aren't even trying.

Who is "tomic?"

@UU32

I have been watching Tomic's games from Barcelona...he has quick feet...and has a soft touch...does not play above the rim and would prefer layups over dunks...excellent passer for a big man and has decent back to the basket skills...he is and can be...a poor man's Pau Gasol...will he be an all-star?...probably not...but he is good...but i do agree that he might not come...so why not use his rights as trade bait...i'm sure a team would like to have him...

@Kakashi: I also would like to see Tomic rights used in a trade. He ain't commin to the NBA.They also have two other "dead" players rights to use. Use them to get Fredette. Sac wants him gone and he might be ok on a different team. He would be a much better backup PG than Tinsley/Watson..
