In your face. That is the only thing that is said. Loyalty isn't a commodity. Honor can't be bout, respect is earned.

Besides its sound, what other freedoms has BO revoked?

Guilty until proven innocent at TSA screenings
Forced to buy something you may or may not want that does NOTHING to address the costs of healthcare
Cannot park close to many buildings without special “green” cars
Economic viabilities not free from sustained assault
Freedom of conscience being desecrated
Etc. ad inifnitum

Old man
Sequestration was BO’s idea. Scapegoating for him is just that, scapegoating. It IS his fault.

Bush did not travel foreign NEARLY as much as BO has.

And of course, there is NEVER any hate dripping from your comments, especially when you call those with whom you disagree “misinformed”

Little stream,
Which congressional planes are you talking about? I have seen ALL of our congressional delegation on the 6 pm Delta flight out of DC. You must be referring to queen nancy – she’s no longer speaker, is she still flying on private AF flights?

"All the states that voted for President Obama will have flyovers...I saw it on Drudge."

You are absolutely right! I would have thought your statement was facetious, but I know from experience it is true. (Of course, I only have n=2 so far to judge.)

I attended a soccer game on Saturday at Stanford Stadium-- LA Galaxy vs San Jose Quakes. It was AWESOME comeback by the Quakes, being a man down and yet scoring 2 goals in stoppage time to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Poor Donovan.

Anyway, before the game, during the national anthem, we had a sweet flyover by 3 jets, each streaming a different color of smoke, one red, one white, one blue. There was a patriotic show at halftime, and fireworks after the game. A great celebration of sport and patriotism.

At any rate, here in California, the flyovers definitely continue...

@ one old man - Ogden, UT - "Wow, the hatred dripping from some of the uninformed (or perhaps informed only by hate radio) posts here is disgusting. It's frightening to think that some people are gullible enough to believe all the stories they hear blatting from their radios."

So you poke us conservatives for believing what we hear on AM talk radio and yet ignore all that you liberals believe blaring 24/7 from CNN, MSNBC and 90% of the mainstream media outlets?

Nope, no hypocrisy there....

I'm active duty military and will tell you that cancelling military fly-overs on the 4th of July is hardly a drop in the bucket in the big financial scheme of things. Is it helpful? Sure, a little. But the accusations of hypocrisy by the right towards liberal federal officials, all the way up to the White House, are 100% valid. You simply can't say "Cancel YOUR event while I fly to Africa" (Africa??...what the heck is strategically important in AFRICA?!?!) and retain any semblance of integrity.

Sorry, but the left is, once again, out in left field on this issue....

"It's about time that America's focus on lavish expensive, unproductive activities begin to be curtailed." - Ha! tell that to el presidente, who has not curtailed his lavish lifestyle one iota since day one! in fact, it's as though he invents ways to live lavishly - to throw it in our faces! It's all about getting the masses to do what their told by those who know better. You can't see this?!

The sequester was Obama's idea. Congress went along with it hoping that Pres. Obama would be willing to work with Congress on coming up with a solution before it was to take effect. This is according to Bob Woodward the legendary reporter who exposed "Watergate" and also was granted an interview with the Obama administration who told him it was their idea. Obama said in 2008 he would reach across party lines and work with Congress. Apparently he hasn't kept his promise since he refuses to work with the Republican House unless it involves a tax on the rich who pay the majority of our taxes.

One Old Man....WRONG...listen to the debate before you comment on it. Obama made no reference to congress he simply promised if he was elected there would be no sequestration...another Obama lie

"At any rate, here in California, the flyovers definitely continue..."

I wonder if the difference is whether an owner of the event venue is willing to pay more for it to offset the gov't cuts.

Still enough money for the Obamas to take multi-million-dollar vacations around the globe, complete with all assistants and security detail.

The problem with budgets is that every politician wants to keep HIS budget items, and we should be cutting EVERYWHERE . . . including in the White House. Hey folks, we have a nearly $17,000,000,000,000 official immediate Federal deficit that isn't going to evaporate spontaneously. We have to get dead serious about cutting spending and preventing cost increases, or we're all going to be facing economic doomsday. Bush didn't advocate any degree of spending cuts (just taxes), and the current administration wants to spend even more and raise taxes even further. We can't continue to live in an insane world and believe that somehow it will all work itself out.

The previous Chinese leader once visited 17 African nations in a 10 month span. Perhaps it's no coincidence that China exported 200 billion worth of products to Africa last year while the US exported half that since China's putting more effort into Africa than we have. Any economic deals that can be worked out would easily be worth much more than the cost of the trip.

The DNs editorial staff can see the bigger picture on this matter in their editorial today on Africa, you see a partisan soundbite.
