As a father I am positive that your father is praying for you and only wants your happiness and your ability to speak Spanish is not a factor in the way he loves you. Also as someone who struggled to learn another language I would say keep trying it will come. I did not do this but looking back I wished that I had.

I remember feeling much the same way as you described going to church and coming out wondering if I had even heard one thing that I understood. Focus on the sacrament prayers. You have heard them hundreds of times and every week they are going to be read the same way. If you get nothing out of the rest of the meetings if you heard and understood the sacrament prayers then you have made some progress and that is what it is all about making progress a little at a time.
