Great article!Holding firm to the iron rod, and serving the Lord makes
your time in Peru the path well taken. This is an example of loving thy
neighbor as thyself. Good job!
As a father I am positive that your father is praying for you and only wants
your happiness and your ability to speak Spanish is not a factor in the way he
loves you. Also as someone who struggled to learn another language I would say
keep trying it will come. I did not do this but looking back I wished that I
had. I remember feeling much the same way as you described going to
church and coming out wondering if I had even heard one thing that I understood.
Focus on the sacrament prayers. You have heard them hundreds of times and
every week they are going to be read the same way. If you get nothing out of
the rest of the meetings if you heard and understood the sacrament prayers then
you have made some progress and that is what it is all about making progress a
little at a time.
