We enjoyed the pageant, but it sure needs a face-lift. The music and narration are right out of the 1950s. My daughter wondered if we were watching a living scriptures video. :)

My wife and I on a trip from Michigan enjoyed the pageant this year as well as the Manti temple. Yes, the pageant script is too long with too many segments for young and old, and the audio sounds a bit dated. It was good we brought a blanket, because it got colder than I expected, even though I was warned. We enjoyed the vendors and the small-town feeling of the pageant. We also enjoyed the hospitality of the people of Manti, particularly the Cash family. I think that the faith and enthusiasm level of the cast and observers alike made this pageant worthwhile and memorable. We were blessed to attend it. Thanks for this column reminding me of this fun experience.
