So many comments over the past year speak to Jefferson's ability to
consistently put up good offensive numbers and wonder "where o where"
will the Jazz pick up those missing points if Jefferson leaves. I say they
don't have to replace most of them because their plus/minus will improve
immediately with Favors playing major minutes as a C/PF. The Jazz are going to
be a much stronger defensive team with the core 4 playing major minutes.
Besides, neither Jefferson nor Millsap will accept demotions to the second team.
I wouldn't expect them to either...they both deserve to start somewhere.
Good luck to Al. I recognize that he showed consistent, great effort on offense.
I like Al, but his price tag is going to be way too high for the Jazz.I'm hoping the Jazz can work out a sign-and-trade deal with someone for
him and also for Paul Millsap. It would be a nice "tip of the hat" to
the Jazz and a way of saying thanks for helping them both reach their
potential. It's now time for Kanter, Favors, Hayward, Burks, and
Evans to step up and take over the team. Here's hoping the Jazz bring in
others who can help move the team forward.
I was hoping the Jazz could work a sign and trade for one year of Paul Pierce
and a 1st rounder for Big Al. Get something back for him and a little leadership
to help the transition without a long term financial commitment.
Good luck to Big Al, wherever he ends up. I hope he does well and has a
successful career. I'll miss him and Paul (my favorite player) but look
forward to the youngsters and their development. Things change, whether I like
it or not.Go Jazzboys! I'm in total basketball withdrawals
That is so unlike the Jazz to let proven talent walk and keep the rookies.....
hard to fathom
