@Tators

Pay attention Mr.Tators...

I never said BYU's OC had never coached a game.

I said, accurately, that Tujague has never coached a D-1 game and Atuaia has never coached at all.

We'll blame it on the refs and say "It doesn't matter because our basketball team made a run it the Pac12 tournament last year." lol.

@tators...Go Utes! lol.

Seriously, a loss in the rivalry game will not be devastating to either team this year.
The Utes would still have their Pac12 schedule and...
Props to byu, they also have a schedule that overrides the Utah game.

Go Utes.

But...Then it would only be 8 and 4...Shucks...Crossing my fingers for 9 and 3. ;)

Go Utes.

Lol, actually some pretty funny stuff there, thanks for the laughs. And I think you're right, neither season hinges on Sept 21st. Thank you for being the only ute fan I've seen actually give unmitigated props to BYU for their schedule. 9-3, ekute? Lol, you know better.

Sooner Ute,

you're right, the Utes have done some "classy" things. Trying to upstage your rival is one. Doing an onside kick when you're up by 40 with less than 5 min. is another great example.

@ Howard S.:

It's the OC that determines what the offense does during a game, not his assistants. Pay close attention next football game you see and you'll find out how true that is. So again, that's another reason why Cougar fans are actually excited, and not terrified of next season as you insinuated. Since most knowledgeable college football services have the Cougars ranked as high as 50 places better than the Utes, perhaps it's you that should be a bit terrified.

@ ekute:

You are wrong about a loss in the rivalry game not being devastating to either team. It would truly be devastating to the Utes since that particular win in the only thing their fans have to brag about in these online posts the past 2 years.

You still haven't given us reason to believe your Utes have started going anywhere yet. But keep telling them to. Perhaps you should try ending your posts with "Try to go Utes." Maybe it will help. lol.

Here's what to expect: A Utah troll will be the first to post on this story. So glad they've all moved on!

"Last year on Cougar media day, the Utes announced a series with Michigan.
Classic."

Where can we go to get a line on what attention-grabbing, inferiority-complex-fueled "little brother" stunt the kiddies on the hill will do this year at the start of BYU media day?

@tators

Yeah... who needs experienced assistant coaches anyway?

In fact I think they should just use volunteer fans out of the stand each game coach the o-line and running backs... The could probably do just as good a job as experienced coaches.

I think next year BYU should hold its media day on the same day as the PAC 12 media day... that'll show 'em...

Who wants to meet Mr. Harmon for ice cream at the Creamery after the press conference? If there are two things he knows better than anyone else, it's BYU football and the Creamery menu.

Didn't you run Anae out of town just a few years ago?

I am amazed that you know about the Cougars than your own team. For instance, Utah has the least amount of returning players in the entire PAC. The Utes have real issues on defense and you finally play Oregon and Stanford

Predictions are that the Utes have a real possibility at a 3 win,9 loss season.

There is a reason why the Utes are preseason #82 in the rankings and BYU is #32.

There are a lot more worries in Uteville than in Provo.

"Predictions are that the Utes have a real possibility at a 3 win,9 loss season."

Who is making this prediction? You?

"There is a reason why the Utes are preseason #82 in the rankings and BYU is #32." Which publication is this in? And, for the record, preseason rankings mean NOTHING. Ask USC about preseason rankings.

@hondo

"And, for the record, preseason rankings mean NOTHING. Ask USC about preseason rankings."

It would seem that utah "fans" like yourself want to use that argument, shall we say....selectively?

If that is true then I expect to not hear another word from any of you about your SOS for this coming season, afterall, and as you said yourself, "preseason rankings mean NOTHING" so of course that means preseason SOS also means NOTHING.

LOL!

@STUFOO...."I am excited to see what ute trolls come up with next when BYU beats the u and has more wins."

I'm sure this would shock you and most other cougie fan's but if the cougies beat the utes on the field then I would say the cougies are the better team. You see to ute fans and everybody else in the world beside cougie fan's know the team that wins the game is the better team.

@Tators...."You are wrong about a loss in the rivalry game not being devastating to either team. It would truly be devastating to the Utes since that particular win in the only thing their fans have to brag about in these online posts the past 2 years."

Well 1 thing to brag about is definitley better then nothing to brag about for cougie fans.

Tators
Hyrum, UT

@ 2BCSWINS:

Wow. You just lots of credibility. So you think Y fans have nothing to brag about compared to the U fans. Right. Oh yea... we did have a winning season that the U fans didn't. And we did go to and win a bowl game last season while the Utes watched on tv. And we did finish the season ranked significantly higher than the Utes. And there's also the fact that literally every pre-season poll has the Cougars ranked ahead of the Utes... again.

And that's just in football. There isn't room in this section to talk about all the ways the Y has to tout the U in basketball, soccer, rugby and track. Sorry to have to bring you back to reality in such a blunt way.

@ Hondo:

Even negatively biased people, with any pragmatism, would have to admit that Anae's resume has improved and enhanced since he was last employed in Provo. He's had the opportunity of receiving tutelage under 2 of the most nationally respected offensive minded head coaches while at Arizona (your home state) these past few years. It will be evidenced on September 21st. Watch and learn.
