Anyone reading this needs to be VERY aware that there are incredibly few cards that offer a fee free balance transfer. Most will require 3% of the amount transferred, it's in the small print. Those cards will offer 0% interest on the transferred amount but you're still on the hook; card companies give very little away for Free...

Signup bonuses are a great way to get free money. My wife and I have gotten around 10 first class round trip airline tickets from the US to Europe thanks to signup bonuses. Just make sure to pay off the balance and not pay any interest and it's free travel.

Be aware that if you use that balance transfer other than the amount transferred, you can be in trouble with a high interest rate. Read the small print.
