Sounds like a big waste of money to hire a bunch of lawyers to investigate these almost totally insignificant allegations, when the Legislature and the feds are looking into far more serious charges.

If (repeat IF) Swallow did something illegal, he will be nailed by the others, and any election report silliness will not do anything. We'd be better off cancelling this one to help the cost of the Legislative investigation, which will probably cost millions.

Lawyers do not work cheap, or quick, so the meter will run for a long time on every investigation. Those who hate Swallow can take pride in knowing that he will probably be bankrupt from lawyer fees by the time this is over, even if he is totally innocent of any illegal, immoral or fattening conduct in his whole life.

I just hope the Democrats remember the precedent this is setting for the next time one of THEIR prominent members has some wild allegations made. Karma....

It is a waste of time, all accusations are back dated, a popular DOJ Obama administration tactic to discredit competition government challenging his throne, the Republicans.

The DOJ and Utah democrats and news media are spearheading this assault and attack on Swallow to cause chaos and disorganizes the the people with lies. The DOJ was hoping they could dismantle Utah government by intimidation and lies and the DOJ with the help of NSA, CIA, and centenaries are out for blood, our blood.

Rest assured, the DOJ federal government is picking the prosecutor and supplying 15 year old spy information to this special council. Its a tough road for Swallow but he has guts and glory we should admire and be proud of. How many of us could stand up to the federal governemnt of Obama?

I wish they could make the Alliance for a Better Utah pay for this investigation. It won't be cheap, and the problems are minor in comparison to what the feds are investigating. The allegations involve election filing forms, for heaven's sake. The questions on the forms are so vague it's likely half of all that are filed have some problems with the answers. As I said, make the Alliance for a Better Utah pay all the costs. When this is all over, that organization will look very foolish.
