UK's Girlguiding removes 'God' and 'country' from its promise

    The changes are an improvement over the previous version. They are more welcoming to nonreligious girls, in a way that emphasizes thoughtful reflection and excludes no one. This is a welcome revision, particularly in Britain, where 50% of the population does not believe in God.
