No way that's a bad thing! Even an unpaid internship gives one experience and experience spells

In the business world, experience, and integrity, are everything.

I suppose if an employer had integrity, thus seeing the exchange of free labor for valuable insight into the dynamics of the organization, then an unpaid internship would be valuable. On the otherhand, if one does menial work for a no-benefit possibility of 98 percent (see the article), then one is being a useful idiot.
