Was this a Des. News mistake or did Kyle Van Noy really get left of the watch list for LBs?

I just now looked it up and didn't realize precisely the extent to which usu/byu are in the trenches together in their relentless pursuit of 2-Star recruits and the ensuing battle during the making of their respective 2013 recruiting-classes.

Per Scout, 100% of usu's 2013 rc consisted of 2-Star recruits....Coach GA succeeded in snagging a few 3-Star recruits/season in his previous 2 rcs, but only LB Cox out of powerhouse Scottsdale Chap. down here in 2009.

In othe words, the fall has commenced, but the players left behind prevent it from being too precipitous, INITIALLY.

Before long, usu will find its way back into College Football's cesspool....Good times!

Before this last year and the "Can't pretend as if they've been there and previously had some success!" usu fans and their byu fan-like self-delusion, endless-SPIN, etc., etc, I've aways been pro-usu, except when playing against UTAH.

Not anymore, particularly w/this younger generation and their selective-memory, combined with ZERO long-term memory and devoid of historical-knowledge.

This younger UTE-generation of fans isn't too different, virtually only known success, upon introduction via Coach UB. Sad, actually

@AZUTE1

With all due respect, I somewhat disagree with your analysis. I'm a die-hard USU fan, but I know fully well how bad USU was for years. The program basically hit rock bottom in 2006, with only one win that year over Fresno State. Quite frankly, we had nowhere to go but up. And then Gary Andersen came along and brought us back to respectability.

But we have plenty to prove next season. Nothing will be handed to us. I think Matt Wells and his players understand that.

And I don't find it particularly classy when somebody wishes for a program to fail. College athletics are supposed to be fun for fans and character-building for the athletes. I don't want the Utes or the Cougars to fail in their endeavors. I would hope they feel the same way about us.

It's good for the entire state when all of the teams do well (even the FCS teams).

To our ute friend - scoreboard! And this year is likely not going to be much different. Our so-called 2-star recruites out manned, out played anyone on your team. And the future wont be much different. Coaching counts too, so does finding the right players to fit into your scheme. Look at all of the so-called BCS schools last year who had no problem recruiting multi-star players land flat on their faces. Enjoy the bottom of the PAC what ever, we'll enjoy being at the top of the MW.
