This spiritual feeling is not unique to Mormonism. Jehovah's Witnesses get the feeling in their spirit that tells them their church is true. Fundamentalist feel a deep moving of the spirit that their leader is a prophet of God. More than the LDS claim to have this spiritual confirmation. Leads one to wonder which confirmation is the right one?

God the only true source where one can know if a church is ordained of Him. But, one must also properly discern the answer to this question to determine if a church is of God or wishful thinking by the person seeking. Sometimes the difference can be subtle.

Nevertheless, when one is humble, sincere, and asks with pure intent to know the will of God, while actively seeking God's hand in their lives, they can receive the answer to this question with certainty that removes all ambiguity as to source and confirmation of truth.

The Holy Ghost can touch anyone at any time, but does not tarry with them as a constant companion without the Priesthood ordinance to give the gift of the Holy Ghost as mentioned several times in the New Testament. The Church of Christ in it's purity as established through a living Prophet by God is built upon the rock of revelation by God's Priesthood authority.

It is also worth noting that becoming a member of God's church has always been by covenant.

RE: EternalPerspective. “they can receive the answer to this question with certainty that removes all ambiguity as to source and confirmation of truth.”

Moroni 10:, A testimony of the Book of Mormon comes by the power of the Holy Ghost—The gifts of the Spirit are dispensed to the faithful—Spiritual gifts always accompany faith— ,“Moroni’s words speak from the *dust.”

And you shall be brought down, and shall speak out of the ground, and your speech shall be low out of the dust, and your voice shall be, as of one that has a” familiar spirit” out of the ground, and your speech shall whisper out of the*Dust(Is 29:4) *ghost conjured up from the grave,(NLT)
Isaiah 8:19 When someone tells you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living?

I'd love to respond, but I'm not sure exactly what point you are driving at and don't want to risk misinterpretation.

Can you re-phrase?
