Actually the picture does not show the employee eating ice cream from the machine. Wendy's does not sell ice cream. They sell Frosty, which differs so much in composition from ice cream that their lawyers wouldn't dream of letting them label it or refer to it as ice cream. Which, as you may or may not have noticed, they never do.

Ha, you think licking taco shells or eating frostys directly from the machine is the worst thing that happens in a restaurant? I worked in various fast food restaurants until my early 20's. Those things pale in comparison to some of the nasty stuff I saw. The reality is that those are low paying jobs that employee two types of people. Teenagers, and adults in their 40's who have NO other job skills, or have legal issues that prevent them from getting good jobs. Those two groups are notorious for a lack of common sense and impulse control. You have a good chance that something gross happened to your food if you eat there. It's why I only eat food I prepare at home.

It's not just Wendy's that doesn't sell "ice cream". Most "ice cream" sold in supermarkets actually isn't ice cream. Look closely at the box in your freezer -- real close. See the words "ice cream" anywhere? Google "frozen dairy dessert."

The reason for this is twofold. First, people still want to eat something that looks, feels, and tastes like ice cream but has less fat and calories. And of course, second, true ice cream is more expensive to make. There's a bigger profit margin on "frozen dairy dessert."

Actually yes the picture does show an employee eating ice cream from the machine. I've seen it. No one said "the picture shown here shows an employee eating ice cream...."

You want my surprised look?

Would be a rare teenager that has not done something dumb before. (Whether you will admit it or not) I will not throw any stones.

Still not right but does not suprise me. I think Noodlekaboodle is probably more correct.

Once again, you lept before you looked. Clearly, Lowonoil is pointing out that the Frosty is not ice cream. Wendy's would not deny that. Why do you? Those pesky things called facts always get in your way.

Big Deal, kids being kids is what I see here. It's a good thing digital media wasn't around when we were in our teens.
