Condolences to the young man and his family, plus kudos to the quick action of the father.

At a future time it would most appreciated to read an article addressing water safety. My limited boating experience impressed upon me the need for each boat passenger to wear or at least possess life preservers. Even the most skilled swimmer cannot endure the cold water temps of our mountain waterways.

This father sounds to me like he was, is and will always be a Hero. Sincere heartfelt prayers go out to this family and especially his 12 year old son. I hope that boy does not blame himself for this accident, because that is what it is, is an accident. Bless this family!
