Each day we read articles about the state of Utah lacking funding.
Today the DN features another picture for the public to view of common sense, again, being tossed out the window.
The wealthy will profit should this ill conceived idea be approved. Anyone living in the state easily spots the pitfalls of this. An immediate, gigantic profit is there for the taking of an elite few. Decades of problems and debt lie in the future for the residents of state of Utah, should this foolish idea come to fruition.
    And...
Republicans wonder why they are loosing ground with middle class voters.

It appears that with all the land and property developers from the Governor and Legislature are kicking into gear to make it so they can prepare for the onslaught of possible money makers for themselves and their posterity for both the new prison and the prime land development in the prison territory now.

The new transportation, medical facilities, housing, and money potential is so high in their minds and abilities. Since they are looking at moving it to a place such as Tooele county that may be good as it is a place where the county has radioactive and chemical facilities and the big federal government contract at the Army depot is almost completed. They could even build it at the west of Tooele close to the Wendover facilities where the prisoner's visitors could stay without having to pay too much at a local hotel since it is at least over 100 miles from anywhere to get there. Then the transportation and services costs would be higher for everyone, even for the Salt Lake City population that would visit the Prison.

There are so many tough decision about moving the prison that it is good for the powers.

So who is Joe Average Guy on the board, or Average Lady....you know, just a normal citizen with common sense that sits on every state board or commission or any type created by the legislature....who is it in this case? Or it is just political appointees once again?
