Can't catch a break: America lags behind on paid vacations

    So is this a problem? Since when should a company be forced to pay people not to work?
    When you go to a garage to have them work on your car would you be open to another line item on the bill: "Paid time not working"?

    Why would anyone agree to pay employees not to work?

    The benefits provided by the employer to the employees should be between the employer and the employees. Benefits should not be mandated by the government. That is a major reason that I am opposed to Obamacare. It would be hard to stay in business today because it is so hard to anticipate what the government will do next that will affect the bottom line.
