Hmmm. Not much information to go on here. One school system cutting back, representing a single religious group may not be enough evidence to state that private schools are failing.

The National Center for Educational Statistics data shows enrollments for private schools dipping slightly now and then, but pretty steady overall.

I could see online public schools becoming an option for some who disagree with the mandated "moral" agendas of some school districts. Not sure it will replace private schools though.

It's the economy.

And besides let's take two high schools in Utah that have pretty good reputations. Can someone really convince me however, that say Juan Diego is that much better of a school than say Skyline? Now how about for the price tag?
