Great article...

Millard played tough, their left fielder make several great plays the take away several two-base hits.

San Juan is lucky they have big bats, but winning games sometimes comes down to how you play "Small Ball"

Correction on the pairings though

#1 Manti playing #2 San Juan 2PM Field 3
#3 Enterprise play #4 South Summit 2PM Field 2

Interested Observer, the problem is that Millard lost that game because of defense and a huge coaching mistake, and error early cost them a run and when your tied up and your the visiting team which scored no runs, then you put that first girl on to set up a double play. The runner on first isn't going to beat you it's the one on second. Everyone knows that anything hit on the ground will most likely advance the runner from second, so a sac fly can win it, so why not set up a force at any base to keep that run from scoring. The fact they tried to throw the runner out that bunted was a huge mistake, when you watch softball like this a runner advances almost everytime in that situation. Big time coaching mistake.

CTJ Fan- Errors were made by both teams. It's pretty easy to coach from the stands. The game wasn't lost because of a coaching error. It was lost because of an overthrow on first base by a team of girls that were playing their guts out. It wouldn't have mattered whether there was a runner on first or not. Both teams made great plays and both teams made errors. Millard just happened to make that one. It was hands down the best game in the first two days of the tournament and probably the toughest game San Juan has had all year.
