So my neighbor was told by her grade school principal that she will be reduced to 27 hours a week starting next fall maximum due to Obamacare. She is an aid at the grade school and works 40 hours a week. The principal was sick about having to do it but he had no choice....all employees over 27 hours MUST be given health insurance and of course the district can't afford it. She doesn't need health insurance since her husband has it via his job but ...as in any socialist society the GOVERNMENT decides for you. Now she is probably going to quit and the school will be without a 12 year experienced office aid which it dearly needs. She loses - the school loses - the kids lose. So who is the winner in all of this ??? This is only the tip of the iceberg that the Obamacare train wreck is causing. The principal was saying it would be hard to hire a good office aid for those hours and he is correct. When 2 senate democrat's recently called Obamacare a train wreck coming they were spot on. I really can't stand this guy!!

Did the Governor pass this by and get the Attorney General of Utah to sign off on this proposal? There are a lot of legal and privacy issues the Attorney General needs to look at with an eye toward protecting the people of Utah and not protecting his own future.

We don't need an Attorney General in absentia who can't do and make lasting decisions without the federal authorities looking over his shoulder.

The Governor should look at what has been done by the Attorney General Shurtleff of taking all the people Departments an Agencies had to protect them as attorneys and staff and change the process to original. The AG's office is wanted to take various agencies away from the Governor such as consumer protection.

The turf war should not be about individuals but about what the state should do for our state.

People elected the Attorney General but based on false advertising by Shurtleff and Swallow. Their plans were for power of state versus federal authority. The federal process is to help the states maintain their ability to do what our Constitution, nationally and state, is to do.

If the AG signed off, its skewed.

"Lockhart had been strongly opposed to the state taking on any new responsibilities as a result of President Barack Obama's health care reform law. " I guess Lockhart's motto is "let the peasants die or let them eat cake."

marxist,
no, Lockhart's motto would be more like "don't feed the peasants, or anybody, poison"

Utah County's Eagle Forum, Herbert and Lockhart, are lock, stock and barrel on healthcare and public schools.

Ethics are good for everyone else just not the public servants we entrusted in our system when we voted for them in the last election.

When I heard a GOP candidate for an office say that the CEO is granting $100,000 for the next two years for this individual to work and also use his Lake Powell Houseboat for training the GOP central committee for 3-days, I was wondering what state I am living in.

In Chicago that happens and maybe now Utah. Church and state may be separated by the GOP is still connected at the hip with business, especially land developers in the Legislature and Governor's office.

Public schooling is not worthy enough of the children that are entrusted to the Legislature and Governor. They want their kids and grandchildren to go to schools in the higher level place. I saw this in many foreign countries with elitists. We are a nation of common folk. We divide and put asunder those that would want to help the low in spirit and money.

Where is love and kindness in politics?
