Spanish Fork, UT

They have Richfield and Manti listed as both 3A and 2A, but I think they are just 3A.

I am sure someone can make the correction.

Looking forward to a fun football season.

Holladay, UT

Herriman schedule is loaded with tough teams, especially that 4-game stretch with Bingham, Highland, Lone Peak, Jordan all in a row. Love to see a team not afraid to schedule some tough opponents!

How many teenage concussions are forecast this season?

Enterprise, UT

With all of the concussion training we go through now days they are on the decline so not as many as you would think calcu_lus. But way to stay positive:) Can't wait for football to start but it will be sad not playing Kanab anymore:(

Should be another great high school football season! Region 3 will produce the 5A champion, it's too bad the first Alta vs Bingham game won't be at Rice Eccles this year, but Lone Peak vs Alta and Herriman vs Bingham should give both Alta and Bingham wins and a chance to go into the last game of the year undefeated against each other. Bingham at Alta last regular season game should be a great game!
Jordan doesn't have a line, they all graduated or transferred to another school, so unless they step up their recruiting it won't be a repeat for the diggerz. PG could be a darkhorse team, Syracuse could be decent, Layton could as well, but bottom line is the state champ in 5A will be Alta or Bingham.

Bluffdale, UT

It's about time they played somebody. They have had it pretty easy the last 2 years.

Cougars1, good point, Herriman did have a pretty soft schedule up until now. Lone Peak and Jordan will be down but they have Bingham at least on the schedule who is a title contender.

Lone Peak is got a tough schedule, but they also are going to have one of the best teams in 5A. They're returning 13 starters, including their QB and entire O-line. They'll be in the mix for it.

American Fork will be a LOT better. Their young talent will be catching up and I look to see them surprise some teams.

Bountiful, UT

Great to see Viewmont back in Region 1 where they belong. Could be a very tough season for the Vikes, but it is wonderful to be home again.

Heber, Utah

It will be interesting to see how Wasatch will do playing a tough schedule. I don't know much about anyone but Timpview, but Region 8 looks pretty good.

Lehi, UT

Watch out for the pioneers in Lehi.new year great young players. The last four years Lehi freshman teams has been outstanding.

Lehi, UT

One more thing Lehi vs Westlake should be fun to watch!

these regions are ridiculous, esp. 6 & 7. these UHSAA people are incompetent

Provo, UT

The past couple years I would place Region 8 at #3 in 4A and half of the teams that made it to the playoffs were moved to Region 7 which should even the two regions out more. 5 & 6 will probably still be more competitive regions.

I am interested in how Spanish Fork and Provo end up doing the next couple years. Both coaches were new last year and seem to be really good, even though Provo's 2012 record didn't show it. I am really hopeful because Timpview benefits from better competition is in their region.

Salt Lake City, UT

I hear that the 2013 Olympus varsity squad is a silent killer, flying under the radar full of talent. 90% of starters from 2012 season were juniors that helped them to a three way tie for region.
