I encourage all Utahns to take a stand against racism, including things like affirmative action.

If its racist to give a job to a white guy over a black guy because the white guy is white and the black guy is black, then its racist to give a black guy a job over a white guy because the black guy is black and the white guy is white.

It's really not that complicated people.

Racism is racism.

it really is alittle more complicated then you would like to make it Chris, perhaps you should read the history behind affirmitve action(not only the ann colter version however)before delcaring it racist.

No George it really is that simple. Racism is racism is racism is racism. If a black person is given preferential treatment over a white person because of the color of skin, that is racism

Please don't be hypocritical and suggest racism against whites is ok. It is not. It is still racism.

Dr king wanted people to be treated NOT by the color of their skin

Some people try and make us believe that now means "treat people by the cot of they skin"

I will stick to what dr king said

End racism!

@George

We are not living in the past, so why are you?

Diversity has no meaning nor any intrinsic value. We should be unifying, looking for commonality,, not seeking differences of no value.

racism against whites? it is amazing the world some people live in, do you really believe that real racism is a thing of the past? do you read your own comments on these threads.

tolstoy- are you suggesting that there is no such thing as racism against whites? One of the hardest things to be anymore is a white male. Minorities get preferential treatment, females get preferential treatment, it's not a laughing matter. Those of you who don't believe it have blinders on, just like those who believe that racism against blacks doesn't exist anymore.
