Oh, I liked this article..made me think where I could do better and what a wonderful idea for your spouse. She is very fortunate to be married to a man that has that high of regard for her as a person, wife and woman. My hats off to him.

I did this once for a friend who was turning 41. She wasn't a mushy type and it caught her off-guard. She read my 41 compliments about her, in her car before going into her house, and she cried. Her heart was touched and I loved that.

Sometimes I forget my own potential - this was a wonderful reminder of how wonderful we can all chose to be! I will be writing my husband a similar birthday letter. He's all that - and more (61). What a positive use of the media today! Thank you!

You go guy. Thanks for pointing out the good you see in the world--there is much more good than bad, but you would never know that from the media. You make me want to be a better person; abd I'll take your challenge, so you will inadvertently touch my wife also (she doesn't read the paper). Almost every time I read one of your columns I think it is your best work ever. May it ever be so. Thanks much.

Nice to read about the kind of pride that comes from the heart. From you and who she is.
