The oxford study must not have inclued the USA in this study and redefined what being poor is. Poverty and poor are inseprable companinons of socialism so how they deny poverty and poor a way of live is beyound reason or comprrehenstion. This artilc is lcearly and feel good message for politicians and socialist government leaders in the US and abroad.

Poverty and poor cannot be abolished, they are perception of one group of individualist over the lives and rights of others with fewer asset or possession. Poverty, wealth and poor are defined by the haves that the have nots don't have. Status is being measured by monetary wealth only. In many cases the less money you have the richer you are so this concept is very subjective and fake.

I agree with the previous comment, but feel the areas showing improvement are doing so at the expense of the American poor. Why are we sending money to those countries instead of taking care of those in need right here in our nation? Some nations we are sending money and war weapons to are not our friends and the arms we provide might just be used against us eventually.
