sammyg:One guy on this thread gets excited about the Rose Bowl, and
you call that "Rose Bowl fever"? How desperate of you. I know it
really stung you to see your team lose 3 in a row, 8 of the last 11, and be on
the losing end of a generation gap in the all time series, but you are REALLY
having a tough time with it. How marvelous.
I know, I got excited. I like seeing the Pac12 size and talent coming to
fruition on the home team. BTW, congrats to the Utes on winning the Duel Trophy.
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! Rose Bowl fever has officially started! 4-0 talk
already. It's going to get fun."It's the
Most Wonderful Time of the Year!"
ekute:4-0 would be great, but remember, 3 of those wins won't
count for the Rose Bowl. We still have to get past Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, USC,
and Arizona St. before we can even THINK of Pasadena.
ekuteI love your enthusiam and definately think 4-0 is possible but pump
the brakes on the Rose Bowl predictions. If you do not remember, last year we
stayed at home for bowl season. There is plenty of room for improvement. Let's leave the unfounded and undeserved hype where it resides every
Just watched the Red-White game on the Pac12 Network! Leaves me excited for this
fall! Wilson better bring his A-game cause Schultz has a arm. If the Utes can
start 4-0, watch out Rose Bowl!
54-10,I'm confused as well, after all isn't byu a legacy program
with more fans where millions of kids dream of playing sports, while the U, is
just a commuter school where no one dreams of attending outside of salt lake?
Isn't all this pac 12 business just bottom feeder wannabe elitism?Maybe Utah isn't so bad after all eh?Go Utes!
Wait. How can the U receive the Duel trophy when Duck has told us all year of
the great superiority of BYU athletics over the U?Guess the Cougs
were cheated, AGAIN.
ThomasThe last two years at Rice-Eccles, it was estimated to be
around 10 to 15,000 people in attendance. And I believe it, it took us almost 45
minutes just to get on the field and it was packed. 2008 was the first time I
went, and I bet there were only about 1200 people there. Joining the PAC 12 has
definitely gotten people more excited about Utah football. The Red-White games
are a blast, as well as the other activities. Rain or shine, I'll be there
ThomasJefferson, I am pretty sure we'll have more than 1000 fans there, but
I agree, holding the spring game on the same day as the marathon is and has been
a terrible idea.
