Gone Fishin,Make that the PAC 10 + Utah & Colorado less BYU.
Your comments are the stuff jealousy is made of. Truth is most BYU fans would
give their left arm to be in the PAC12.
The program is certainly headed in the right direction. Anything short of an
NCAA at atlarge bid will be dissapointing. GO UTES!
Of course Coach K is high on the new additions. He is paid to say that. Next
year will be the same ol season as the last two. Anyone can score 17 per game
at a military academy. The competition will be much different in the PAC 10
(plus Utah and Colorado).
Utah will have the best basketball team in the state next year, no doubt.
I am glad to see that the Utes are upgrading their basketball team. It's
great to join a "premier" conference, but you've got to win some
games. A 50-50 record does not cut it.
I love the length of this class! This is exactly what we have lacked at the
wing positions and exactly what we need to continue our rise to the top of the

The future of Ute hoops is bright!
It's easy to get excited. Who knows what these new guys bring relative to
the average fans understanding? Anyway, I do know I believe in Coach K and these
recruits are intriguing kind of like spring ball on the gridiron. I hope for the
The 6'11" guy is a good pickup from Western Nebraska CC, a good JC
program in Scotts Bluff NE. They have a long tradition of good basketball there.
Not much to do in Nebraska in the winter, they take the sport rather
seriously.I remembered that their coach came from Utah, previously
coaching at Dixie, Salt Lake CC, Southern Idaho and SUU. Nice connection. He
will probably have a real shot at playing.
Great additions to a program on the rise. Welcome aboard...it's a great
time to be a Ute!
We'll take anything we can get. Seriously, we need better play at every
position. Good basketball teams have 4 types of offensive players
(1) point guards with good assist to turnover ratios (2) guys who can get to the
paint, draw fouls an make a living at the line (3) three point shooters (4)
solid post up threat. I really don't think we have one returning player
who is considered above average at any of these roles
Sounds like these guys can play ball, and they perfectly address the team's
biggest need; wing players who can score and defend.Welcome to the U
