I think this is a great move for Canyons. I am sure he is a great guy, but he
has taken a very heavy handed and narrow minded approach to directing the school
district. Hopefully, the new superintendent will eliminate the gestapo-like
monitoring of the teachers and re-implement some of the technical programs in
The next superintendent needs to have the qualities of respect, leadership and
humility. If the district wanted such a guy they should interview one of their
own, Principal Shad Demille.
It might also be good if the next guy asks for a reasonable salary as an example
to the teachers and other staff of that district that have got paltry (if any)
raises over the past several years...
