The Jazz essentially played themselves out of the playoffs from late February through mid-March with a string of losses, including several heartbreakers by only a point or two. As much as many of us despise the Lakers, how can you not respect Kobe who, in the latter stages of his career, continues to carry L.A. on his back by putting up impressive numbers, leading his team with attitude, and playing through injuries. Who do the Jazz have that can and will do that, Gordon Hayward? Besides, all getting the 8th playoff seed would mean is some extra money for the owners and a week or two continuation of the season --- we're not going to beat OKC or San Antonio.
