I tried all of these and the relationship (with the step-son) has still failed. That said, I think that is because of the destructive influence of his biological father (prison, heroin/meth/alcohol abuse, etc.). It hasn't worked for me, but I still think it's a great looking study sure to give every family the best shot at success!

Holy smoke! Just one more example of the basic unit of society being under tremendous strain. It would appear that the democritization of the notions and definition of the family are leading to its destruction. The pressure on fathers is astronomical. The previous comment points to prison as the result of trying to cope with drugs such as heroin, meth, and alcohol. I believe that the answer is to reinforce the role of the father in the family. That is being replaced with single mothers and alternative lifestyles. Over half of the babies being born, those that are not aborted, have no father.
