Not sure if this is the Jazz PR machine at work here, but the type of surgery he is having (labrum repair) is NOT minor. I had mine done and it didn't feel normal until about 18 months after the surgery, despite intense physical therapy 3 times a week.

If it's the labrum you basically can't do anything for 8 weeks. The shoulder needs to be immobilized for 6 weeks. The good thing is that once it's healed it's good as new.

His personality is missed.

This is bad news. Al Jefferson is basically a pansy from a physical standpoint down low. He draws no fouls and the opposing bigs are never in foul trouble because he is always fading away and shooting jumpers. Horrible approach for playoff success.

Hope he heals quick and given his work ethic I am sure his rehab will go as well as could be expected.

Unfortunate that he will miss the playoff experience.

The only upside is Favors will get more minutes.
