I don't agree.
They should have kept a closer eye on the situation. That is what their department is supposed to do, make sure the roads are safe!

Does anyone realize the bigger picture here? UDOT can be completely negligent in maintaing safe road conditions and NEVER be held responsible. These families have gone through horrific suffering, physical & emotional pain, the traumatic loss of a child, horrible loss of quality of life, massive financial loss AND the judge rules that they cannot even have their day in court. This is wrong, I hope that they appeal and this goes to a higher court. I hope this even for the sake of my own families safety, UDOT needs to be held responsible, it's not about the money, it's about their policy. How many of us would be willing to sacrifice a child because someone else wanted to get home on time?
