The more I read about this, the less I understand it.

What part of what WVC has told us took them 5 months to "uncover"?

Why didn't WVCPD at least tell the girls mother why the investigation was taking so long?

Would the police have EVER publicly said anything if the mother hadn't gotten her own lawyer?

Does the city manager normally go to a police incident?, or was he notified because things didn't "add up" from the start?
It will be interesting (if we ever know)to see what the police have been "investigating" for 5 months.

"Winder said the Powell case will be "winding down" in the coming months. "There are only so many leads you can pursue until you hit dead end,""

Unfortunately, the "dead end" in the botched Powell case was the death of two innocent children who should've been out of reach of their father who obstructed justice from day one of the investigation.

WVC Police chief has done a lot of things right and had done a good job overall. I am sorry his health has gone downhill.

I hope whoever they get, it isn't Sim Gill.
