Congratulations all around for great game by the Cougs and the great crowd support from BYU fans!

Good win for the Cougs, keep em' coming. Experience is priceless.

Agree with the grades. Outstanding performance from the starters.

The productivity from the bench has been bad all season. We really don't have a 6th man who can step in and provide a spark consistently. Occasionally Cusick can provide that, but most of the time bench doesn't contribute very much. That may come back to haunt Rose in the future.

Wow, two complete games in a row from Carlino and even Zylstra was a big help in this one! If BYU (Carlino!) can continue to play this well they have a real shot at beating Southern Miss.

It's fun to watch BYU playing its best basketball right now. Let's hope they keep it up and get to the final. That would give them at least 25 wins on the season and keep that streak alive. Go Cougs!!

River Falls, WI

Best game of the season for BYU crowd... they definitely had an impact on the game. The ESPN announcers repeatedly noted how loud it was and how many fans never sat down. Great work cougarfans!

OK, my pessimism was unwarranted. I was impressed with this team. Mercer is good and really can shoot. BYU ran them off the floor. Maybe as good a game as Davies has ever had. He was a beast. And Carlino is living up to expectations, nay, exceeding them. And Haws. Need I say more? Haws will leave BYU with a fist full of records. He is going to be really really great.

Sometimes I just have to laugh about the DN: "Landon Walters is a history and political science major at Salt Lake Community College. He is an avid sports fan and loves writing." Way to pull from a credible source. I was a public administration major; I'm an avid sports fan and I love to write as well. Can I please grade the Cougs' next game?

Overton, NV

BYU played a great game, but their defense still is lacking. Mercer's big men were able to consistently get the ball way too close to the basket. Also, Mercer scored on a lot of shots in the paint because guys were left open on cuts to the basket. They need to clean that up if they hope to win on Wednesday.

If BYU could have had Zylstra and Carlino produce only half of what they did last night during the season this team would have gone to NCAA tournament.
