Messed up a lot of brackets. I doubt anyone has a perfect bracket.
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
The problem with Gonzaga is that this was their best chance to get to the Final
Four. The selection committee could not have made it any easier for them. A
number one seed in the worst bracket of the entire tournament. Playing soft teams like Santa Clara and San Diego on a weekly basis will not
get the Zags ready for the tournament. They play in a weak conference. Gonzaga
is stuck in a bad conference that will never do them any favors. Next year or
the year after will not be any better for them. They need to get into a better
conference, the MWC maybe. Or if they could get into the new Catholic
Conference (former Big East) that would benefit them a lot.
Three things you can always count on in the NCAA tournament:1-New Mexico
will never win2-A 12 seed always beats a 53-Gonzaga is always over
rated and never makes it far.
Xposed! Computers, fans votes, coaches opinions, newscaster polls etc. can rank
a team as high as number one despite their lofty record being made against
lesser opponents. Fortunately in basketball the eventual "national
championsship" must be won in six games against the top teams in the
country. Unlike football where a championship can be claimed according to the
flawed computers, fans, coaches, newcasters opinions. It's been proven to
The Mountain West, WCC and PAC12 are pretty week in basketball. UCLA, Arizona,
Gonzaga, Saint Marys, BYU and San Diego State are the only teams that have
accomplished much of anything in the past 10 years.
International: You forgot Utah. The Utes have made it as far as byu has in the
last 10 years.
I thought the WCC was a tough conference...
