Everyone knew the Zags were going to be the first 1 seed out. Let's review. PAC 12 has Oregon and Arizona representing in the Sweet Sixteen! And the WCC has..crickets..crickets!

So much for the #1 team in the country from the Weak Coast Conference (WCC). Only making it to the round of 32 as a #1 seed? That's sad for BYU's conference!

Poor little brothers on the hill; vicariously living off of the accomplishments of others, because they have no accomplishments of their own.

I'm shocked anyone was still following this ponderous tournement by the time this game was played. Boring! March Monotony baby!

And that has what to do with the Utes? In what post season tournament are the Utes playing?

I agree with 86&90 Ute, last week I believed that the Zags were over rated and would not make the sweet 16. Wish I could have done that with the rest of my brackets. As a whole the WCC seems to have been a over rated. The PAC on the other hand was a little under rated as a conference, sure missed that one.

Don't forget New Mexico loosing to Harvard. More crickets.

But.. but Gonzaga was iron clad proof that the mighty WCC was superior to the Pac12! How are we going to spin this now?

At least Utah didn't recently beat a sweet 16 team. That would be hard to stomach.

Good thing BYU fans don't define the success of their program by the other members of their conference, otherwise this might be bothersome. Here's one BYU fan that cheered for Wichita State all the way. Congrats to you 86 & 90 on "your" great weekend.

When was the last time BYU lost to a Pac12 team? I know it wasn't this year or anytime in the recent past.

@swoop

The same can be said for you.

Your funny Swoopy! What accomplishments does BYU have in basketball?......Nothing that would compare to your big brother on the hill.

Let me remind you of Utah's accomplishments:

1 NCAA National Championship
1 National Runner-up
4 Final Fours
6 Elite Eights
15 Sweet Sixteens
27 NCAA Tournament Appearances
36 Conference Championships

Now quit your Y'ning little brother!

Ancient history jealous little hill dweller; the Utes haven't won a single NCAA tournament game in almost a decade - 0 for the last 8 seasons.

149-145 overall; 7 in a row; 11 of the last 12, including 3 straight 20-point wins in the Huntsman Center.

BYU owns U in basketball.

The Zags were over rated. They get a puffed up record by playing a lot of not so good, small schools and then get into real competition and go down. They could easily have been the first-ever # 1 seed to go down to a # 16 with the Southern game. Any good team can appear great by playing mostly cream puffs and gearing up once or twice for real competition. The Utes have found how challenging it can be when you play top competition every week. The same can be said for football and some of the "independent" schools, save for Notre Dame.
