Dennis Rodmen wanted to stay away from Utah and NM felt that way. I had them to final four. SHOCKING !
That was a smart win.
I guess that Steve Alford might regret that he made such a push to be a number one seed.
I used to consider myself two parts UNM fan and one part BYU fan--inasmuch as I have two degrees from UNM and one from BYU--but this game reminded me why I'm now 100% a Cougs fan. Not to say BYU had a better team this year (it didn't), but the Lobos are just too frustrating to watch, even when they ~are~ on TV.
On any given night....
Stupid PAC 12 fans think they are better than the awesome WCC or the MWC!
I love it! The only thing that would have made it better is if the game was in "The PIT".
Embarressing loss for the MWC.
Those Lobos play a bunch of patsies every year, most of them in the PIT where they have a tremendous home court advantage, and then based on their glossy record believe they belong with the big boys. Then they get waxed when they arrive at the dance. Their conference was pretty strong this year though. It didn't appear that they had the better players on the floor last night, with the exception of their center who really gave it a good effort. Not enough talent, no bench to speak of, and they never could figure out that you can't leave the shooters!
