The fire spread really rapidly, so everyone was lucky to get out alive and safe. I've a friend who was in that class that was evacuated, and he reported that they saw smoke, and by the time they were out of the building, assembled and accounted for everyone, they could see flames through the windows in the room they were in.
T'was a busy fire day for west layton/clearfield, one of our neighbor's houses had a big fire in it too...
