I don't have strong non-religious traditions in my family regarding Easter,
so it's really not a big deal if we skip the candy and the egg hunts. We
might color some eggs, if we think about it, but honestly, easter's more
about singing in the church choir, and telling the ressurrection story. Every
once in a while I'll get my girls new dresses, but with the Springtime and
the change from winter to springtime colors, that just feels seasonal. I think part of the reasons it's easy to keep them distinct from say
Christmas, is that the Easter Bunny is clearly a made up, ridiculous holiday
icon that even the simplest kid knows is entirely fake...
You mean the second religious holiday to be turned into, giving presents and
