Can't wait to see the guys battling USC, UCLA and all of our new rivals again next year!
Get us a Pac 12 title Erickson!
And, it'll be a breeze playing Stanford and Oregon this year. Bring on the Super Bowl!
Great size and appears we're deep with talent. And... finally, we have someone with a little experience that has ability to throw to them. Stay healthy Wilson. Go Utes!
@Chris B
What new rivals? I thought Colorado was the new rival? Everyone else is just in the conference and isn't necessarily a new rival..
I do hope the Utes have a better season this year. I root for them, I just can't cheer for them when they play BYU.
I think Anderson and Scott will be the top receivers this year, and Jake Murphy should have a good year too. I like the utes incorporating the TE into the game plan a lot more. Before Murphy, I can't recall the last tight end that really stood out for U.
Murphy is a junior, not a senior, and Fitzgerald is a WR, not a TE.
Murphy has proven to be a great playmaker, and he should only improve during his senior year and become a real focus with what Dennis Erickson wants to do offensively.”
Uh...correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Murphy will be a Jr. this upcoming season.
Hopefully we can turn this whole team around, not just the offense. The D was pretty bad last year as well. Can't wait for April 20th, Red/White game baby!!
I can't wait for spring ball to begin. I'm excited to see what Erickson can bring to our offense. I agree that the defense needs to improve as well but it seems like we are slowly getting more and more depth at each position across the board.
Too bad so much time was wasted with Jordan Wynn. He was great when he was healthy but he was never the same after that first shoulder injury.
Murphy will have a great senior year, I hope he has a great junior year as well!
Go Utes!
I hope we make more use of our TE's... Over the last two years, we seemed to do pretty well when we did.
I'm curious about what plans Erickson/Johnson has for Denham. Since he'd been bitten by the injury bug his whole tenure up on the Hill, not much is known how he'll do at WR. I can't recall ever fielding a 6'4", 222-lbs WR before, but his size and speed could provide the Utes with some solid mismatches over opposing DBs.
With Erickson's intentions to make serious adjustments to our Offense, it would be very interesting what could happen should we incorporate Denham at the "Z" spot.
Go Utes!
Too bad that Josh Gordon guy didn't pan out and was able to stay at Utah. He would be a huge threat against these Pac 12 teams. He had 5 TD's, 50 cathes for over 800 yards for the crappy Browns team in teh NFL. We really could ahve used him this last year, and this upcoming year. I hope that Travis Wilson can take that next step and not have a huge sophmore slump. Hopefully with Dennis in there and BJ having more time to work with him, it will really open his eyes on how to play teh collegiate game. I guess we will see. Just 5 weeks and 2 days until the Spring Game. Then 5 months and 2 weeks from today the season starts. I cant wait. GO UTES!!!!!!
