Everything is coming together at the right time. Seize the moment.

Good Luck...
When preparation meets opportunity and slaps it upside the head. Looks like Utah is a slap away from some first round good luck.

Cant wait for the games today! it might be a very unproductive day at work!

We are going to wreck them.

I'll say this, I like Utah's chances of making the big dance better than anyone else in the state!

Even if its a 5% chance, right now that seems pretty good.

Mark it down

@Go Utes! - agreed, not a lot of work will get done the next several weeks while games are on. The beauty of two screens

Chris B -

Let me get this straight. You're saying that Utah has a better chance of getting to the dance (winning their tourney as a 10-seed) than USU (5-seed in a fairly weak WAC) or Weber (2-seed in the Big Sky).

The only team Utah has more of a chance of making the dance when compared with other in-state teams is BYU because they obviously aren't making it this year.

Normally I enjoy how you cheer on the Utes, but if you're going to make predictions and have people think they're credible, lay off the red kool-aid a little.

"USC has Utah's full attention."

Of course they do. Let's be honest, I don't think this Utah team was ever in danger of overlooking ANY opponents, including the borderline-high-school teams we played in the pre season. We have shown we are capable of playing great games, just not consistently.

I'd be happy with a win today, and VERY happy if we could surprise someone in the second round. Beyond that, I'll leave the predictions up to Chris B. Either way, this is going to be a fun weekend in Vegas.

GO UTES!!!

Go Runnin' Utes! It's fun to get excited again for our basketball team. It's always been great to be a Ute fan, and the future holds much promise. Go Utes!

Yes Virginia there is a Santa Claus! The Utes just received a huge gift. USC sitting down Dedmon is like Utah stitting down Washburn. Utah should easily move on to play California.

And Yes Chris, Utah does have a 5% chance of making the tournament. But I believe you are incorrect in saying that the Utes have a better chance than Utah State. But then again, I believe you comment was more intended to irritate than actually be a statement of fact.

I think it is great that Utah will get to the 2nd round against California. But, beginning Thursday night, the prospects of Cal, probably Oregon and most likely UCLA are flat out scarey.

But, if Utah could take down Cal, and get to 15-17, or better, even if they were knocked out of the PAC12 tourney, they may get some consideration from the other tournaments.

How about a Utah/BYU first round NIT matchup? Chris B would like that and he would even guarantee the winner!

@alternate

In a scenario like you just described, I would think Utah would be favored to win.
