ouch, the browns...this was definitely about the $$$$

I sometimes feel winning the Super Bowl is a loss.

A winning team can't pay the salary to keep the winning talent.

That's why teams seldom win two super bowls in a row.

Wow! The Ravens gave Kruger his opportunity in football, and a Super Bowl championship.

For the love of money, there is no loyalty, and you leave.

I'm proud of players like John Elway, Dan Marino, Micky Mantle, Steve Young, Walter Payton, Mike Ditka, etc, who stayed loyal with their teams.

Our expectations of proud varies.

My expectation of proud does not vary. NFL is about MONEY. Rules much different regarding free agency in the modern game. You can pick players of whom your proud, I can name many more times when a team chewed up and spit out a "loyal" player. This is a time to celebrate hard work, talent, and congratulate Mr. Kruger on a job well done! May he bring similar success to the great city of Cleveland!

Good luck Paul! Hope he helps lead the Browns back.

Give it a rest, it's a business just ask Dwight Freeney:

"After an 11-year marriage between Dwight Freeney and the Indianapolis Colts that has included over 100 sacks, two Super Bowl appearances and one NFL championship, it appears the seven-time Pro Bowler's time in Indy is now officially over. There is an outside chance that he returns, but he will almost assuredly command more money on the free-agent market than the Colts are willing to offer"

Amazed--so the fans, team, organization, and city are just business associates?

That's how it is.

For me, pep rallies are hypocritical.

Well, I only was able to root for the Ravens once last year. Against the Niners. But moving to the Browns isn't much better.

That's A Good One

Good think he got his ring this year because it'll be a warm January day in Cleveland before he sees one with the Browns. Is LeBron's house still for sale?

Congrats on the contract Paul.

NFL careers are short. He has a ring, the Ravens would not pay market price for his talent.

Capitalize while you can.

I hope he has a solid financial advisor, too many NFL guys end up in the poor house.
